We are presently accepting applications from qualified individuals to fill the following position:

Brant Safe Beds Program, Mental Health Worker

Position: Part-Time Temporary

Base Location: Brantford but some shifts may be available at the Simcoe site

Contract Dates: June 3, 2024 – September 3, 2024 with a possibility of ongoing casual shifts. An earlier start date can be discussed with no guarantee of hours.

Hours of Work: Minimum12 hours/week in various day, night, and weekend shifts. May be offered more than 12 hours per week.

Wage Rate: $23.63 per hour

This position works out of our Brant Safe Bed Program location at 84 Brant Avenue in Brantford and provides support to persons experiencing acute mental health crisis, in a residential setting utilizing a Psychosocial Rehabilitation & Recovery model. A full job description is available upon request. Work shifts are a mix of 12 hours shifts (7-7 or 8-8) and break coverage. Program is open 24/7.

A post-secondary diploma (or current enrollment towards graduation) in the Social Services field is required, with a demonstrated familiarity and understanding of Brant, Haldimand & Norfolk mental health & addiction services.
