International Day of Older Persons

The International Day of Older People aims to raise awareness of the impact of an ageing population and the need to ensure that people can grow old with dignity and continue to participate in society as citizens with full rights.

This International day of celebration is a global celebration of the wisdom, achievements, and rights of seniors, held every year in October.

The International Day is recognized each year with a theme and this year the theme is “Our Place” recognizing the people and places which are important to us.
