Project Dragonfly is proud to have an original theme song (a collaboration between Project Coordinator, Kimberlee Taplay and Canadian singer-songwriter Mackenzie Leigh Meyer) that speaks to The Power of Change and the public’s perception when it comes to the realities and challenges of mental illness. Project Dragonfly (www.projectdragonfly.ca) was created following the loss of a loved who suffered with the challenges of anxiety, depression, and PTSD to suicide.
Funds raised from this event will enable Project Dragonfly to book time in a recording studio for Mackenzie and her band so that The Power of Change and the powerful & inspiring message it conveys can be shared with the public. We’re almost there –if all of the tickets for this event are sold, it will put us over the top of our #Power of Change fundraising goal! You can help make it happen –YOU can be a part of The Power of Change… World Suicide Prevention Day is September 10th, and Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) is October 1st to 7th.
When you buy a ticket to this event, $15 will be donated to Project Dragonfly. Feel good about giving as a local artist guides you and your friends through two hours of painting, drinking, and laughing ‘til your cheeks hurt. The best part? You don’t have to be an artist to have an amazing time…
