Please be advised, following recommendations from Public Health and in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, we are suspending face-to-face contacts and public gatherings until further notice. Community supports to our clients are still available by telephone and email.
OASIS is an ongoing, open support group for individuals facing challenges related to concurrent disorders. The group is facilitated by staff from St. Leonard’s and CMHA, Brant Haldimand Norfolk Branch and is appropriate for people using a harm reduction or abstinence goal in their recovery.
Goals:
- To learn new coping strategies and skills to manage mental health and addiction related issues. For example: stress management, developing goals, conflict resolution, effective communication, forming new relationships, recognizing triggers, challenging negative thoughts, self-care, navigating the health care system and understanding diagnoses.
- To provide a supportive environment for individual to share their feelings and thoughts about their recovery
Structure: Discussion focused, light psycho-educational component.
Stage of Change: Any stage of change
Referral Process: Open to the community. No referral required.
When: Thursdays, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Age: 18+
Legal Status: Voluntary
Other: Concurrent disorder – mental health issue(s) and addiction(s)
