National Pink Shirt Day
CMHA Brant Haldimand Norfolk supports Pink Shirt Day
This February 26th, people are using Pink Shirt Day as a platform to promote and practice kindness, be supportive and inclusive, and raise awareness for anti-bullying initiatives.
Bullying is a form of aggressive behaviour where someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words, or more subtle actions, that can result in mental health issues like anxiety, low self-esteem or depression. For more information on anti-bullying resources, visit pinkshirtday.ca You can find additional fact sheets from the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health on understanding and setting boundaries and finding healthy ways to deal with anger.
