Responding to COVID-19
We are taking precautions to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the pandemic continues, we will do our best to provide the most up-to-date information possible for our clients and community stakeholders.
In an effort to help control the spread of the virus, CMHA BHN Branch is limiting all face-to-face contacts to those deemed necessary only.
Due to the provincial restrictions in place, phone and virtual supports will be the norm until we are directed differently by the Ministry of Health.
Our staff members will try to respond to all calls in a timely manner. Our offices will remain open, but will stay closed to the public.

Have symptoms?
Take a self-assessment to help determine how to seek further care if you think you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has it.
Who is Eligible for Testing?
The assessment centre will address the necessary steps if testing for COVID-19 is required based on symptoms, travel history and/or exposure to confirmed COVID-19 cases. As of September 24, 2020, the Ontario government provided updated criteria for COVID-19 testing stating that individuals can be tested if they:
- are showing COVID-19 symptoms
- have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 informed by the local Health Unit, or an exposure notice received on the COVID Alert app
- are a resident or someone who works in a place that has a COVID-19 outbreak
- are eligible for testing as part of targeted testing by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Long-Term Care
If you meet any one of the above criteria, please contact the appropriate assessment centre in your area to arrange for testing.
